 Product Description

One size frog support hoof pad. Designed to be cut down to fit different sizes.

Provide support to the frog when you fit these pads between the shoe and hoof.

Flat pads with a raised frog pad.

166mm wide - 171mm high.

Read below on how to fit these pads to a range of different sizes of horseshoes.

To be used with (or without) a hoof packing DIM (we recommend 3P Hoof Packing DIM).

How to fit the easy to trim and convenient one size Balance Hoof Care Pad

  • The pads are marked with “GROUND SIDE” to avoid any confusion when fitting.
  • Place the sized and worked shoe on the pad to line up with the horses’ natural frog and tap with hammer to mark toe clip or side clips and trim out this/these area/s of the pad. Note: the shoe will align with one of the guide grooves running through the frog insert section of the pad which will require trimming, unless fitting a larger size shoe.
  • Once the clip areas are trimmed out, the pad will now sit flush with shoe. Option to trace around the shoe with a marker to assist with trimming the pad to size. Trim off any excess pad material, including at heel end of the pad prior to nailing on shoe/pad set.
  • Make sure hoof is brushed clean and dry. The option to apply a frog treatment e.g., Kevin Bacon's Hoof Solution is now
  • Mix equal parts of the Hoof Packing DIM (we recommend 3P Hoof Packing DIM) until colour is fully blended. Move quickly to avoid packing setting.
  • Flatten the hoof packing DIM to cover across the frog area and position your shoe and pad in place.
  • Secure the shoe with a nail in each side of the shoe and place the hoof down to bear weight and disperse the hoof packing DIM (3P Hoof Packing DIM) through the pad slots before it sets. This step is essential and should not be missed.
  • Pick up hoof and wipe off excess hoof packing DIM before it fully sets.
  • Put the remaining nails in the shoe and finish job as standard.

We use New Zealand Post for most international orders and target shipping time is 3-10 working days for all international locations. If you need your items in a hurry then let us know when ordering and we can quote accordingly.

Actual delivery times may vary depending on the carrier in your own country.

Only very occasionally, items may take longer to despatch so please allow up to 28 days for delivery - we'll let you know if there's a delay in despatch. If you think the item is delayed, don't hesitate to contact us at any time.

Shipping cost for international orders is calculated by weight. Click "Calculate shipping and handling" within the shopping cart to display shipping cost of the product(s) to your location.


Returns Policy

We do not have to provide a refund if you have changed your mind about a particular purchase, so please choose carefully. If the goods are faulty, we will meet our obligations under the NZ Consumer Guarantees Act to provide a remedy.

Shipping and Delivery

Free economy shipping within NZ for orders over $100 + GST (online only).

Most items are shipped the same day when we receive your payment.

We use a range of courier and delivery options for orders within NZ. Depending on your location and order size, we may use New Zealand Couriers, CourierPost or New Zealand Post. We'll let you know how your order was shipped and a tracking number in due course.

Most items should be received within 1-3 working days. If you need your items in a hurry then let us know when ordering. We recommend our Gold Class shipping option for urgent orders.

Only very occasionally, items may take longer to despatch so please allow up to 10 days for delivery - we'll let you know if there's a delay in despatch. If you think the item is delayed or missing don't hesitate to contact us at any time.


Gold Class Shipping

Select the Gold Class option for New Zealand orders when you require a little extra.

We will prioritise your order, ensure we get it packed and shipped at the earliest opportunity using the most suitable courier company. Our packers will also add extra packing materials to ensure the goods have extra protection in transit. We will also let you know (by text or email) when you're order has been shipped and the tracking number (if available).
